Webroot Spy Sweeper Internet Essentials Suite....is that a good product? i juss bought a new computer for the 2 time..my last ocmptuer broke down with viruses and everything. it got fixed manytime but it always catches viruses. and now im thinkin that i need somthin to protect my new computer. i did a lot of research and i can to "Webroot Spy Sweeper Internet Essentials Suite" thats the only on that i havn't tried yet....any ideas?
i work in the office...and yes computers are very important to me when it comes to my job haha

I'm running the new version of webroot now and it seems to do the job. It cleans whatever tracking cookies I've picked up between scans and blocks BHO's from installing.
With that said, I'm not an idiot. I know not to install useless crap off the web and I know how to lock down my system.
Webroot is just another tool in your toolbox and, like any other tool, depends on the skill of the user for maximum results.

The fact that you suggest it would EVER be necessary to buy a new computer due to viruses and spyware tells me you don't have a clue what you are talking about.
There is no spyware/virus that cannot be defeated by a properly done software reinstall.

Webroot is junk. Download www.superantispyware.com --It is free and will catch just about everything that all the the other antispyware will miss.
Also you can download www.ewido.com an it wil redirect you to grisoft in Prague who just purchased this software from Germany.

With these programs you should not have to run out and purchase a new computer because of spyware/viruses.

Webroot have recently issued SpySweeper 5. Problen is it seems to slow down your computer and may conflict with other running programs.
My advice is to use CounterSpy from http://www.sunbelt-software.com/CounterSpy.cfm. It runs quietly in the background and doesn't soak up your system resources.

Once I downloaded it but as soon as I tried to run a "sweep" it locked my computer completely leaving no other choice than that of hard reseting my PC. Stick with Spyware Doctor. It never locked up my computer and provides excellent protection.

i have used spy sweeper, i think it is a good product but i have had better luck using ewido, overall i think ewido is a better program. but spy sweeper is a good product as well, its all about personal preference pretty much

Webroot spysweeper is junk. I highly recommend you Download SUPERantispyware. It is VERY VERY effective and it is free.
