That's funny coming from a Neocon, when Neocons continue to ridicule Ray Nagin and New Orleans because it's Democrat. People lost their lives and and homes forever, and you don't care.

No but some of us due to our own backgrounds (and the perspectives based on how the were raised or other issues such as culture, as every one else is stating) have been desensitized to some things that others have not...for example, I was raised from the time I was almost 7years old until I was nearly 18 without a television in my household...only radio (and limited access to anything usually but the NPR or AM Public Radio station) and the newspaper, even for school Current event reports. I find Horror films and things beyond terrifying and I cannot watch them without nightmares...and though I love CSI sometimes it makes me sick to my stomach with the stuff they show...and yet a kid who is from a war-torn country younger than me would not blink an eye at seeing something like I see on television in their everyday life.

No the compassion is still there it's just that we are normally so far removed from the situation. The human condition dictates that there can never be absolute equality and with that, of necessity, there will always be suffering. One realistically can only do the possible, you may not be able to do anything directly but you can bring it to the attention of others as you have.

stay. There are issues all persons run from in our households. probably even you---purely not this actual situation. in case you want her to understand, then gently tell her. He advised his brother, yet not his mom for even with reason. Do you actual understand why? in case you had a chum who became extremely torn up about something and couldn't face it, would not you sense for them? he's your husband and frequently it purely comes all the way down to a spouse wanting to be first in his existence over anybody else. That complicates what would frequently be extremely ordinary if it became a chum's concern really that of a better half. men of each age do not unavoidably "lie" even as placed on the spot to do something they're uncomfortable about, yet they "keep away from" the question to dodge conflict. probably this is what he's doing the following and it has not something to do with not loving you or being ashamed of you. per chance he's hoping you'll manage telling her. you could leave every time, yet help him even as he's deployed and do not force a wedge between you and him through belittling him. He could leave you in ordinary words as surely really than cope including his mom. which will be the type of waste of your love if both of you leave. you adore him. stick with it and make something good out of your marriage till sometime it is resolved and then faster or later you'll seem back in this and it is going to seem so insignificant. frequently one better half is sweet in some aspects and susceptible in others and the different better half is the alternative, so each can help the different through existence. And with slightly of success faster or later think ofyou've got been mutually lengthy sufficient to love and snort along with your toddlers and grandchildren. something properly worth having is wisely worth combating to dangle onto. best of success to you both.

my goal in life is to reduce pain and increase pleasure, all else is lost to oblivion. All you accomplishments will be lost in a thousand years, your name may be on a tombstone somewhere on a family tree, but they too will eventually turn to dust. If for some reason you become fossilized, that too will turn to dust.

So what's the purpose of living? .....like i said, to decrease pain and increase pleasure, all else is lost to oblivion.

That just means that yours or the other person's priorities are screwed up or just different because alot of people do exaggerate stuff so much.

No, I haven't nor have we as a country, otherwise we wouldn't support Israel nor bring freedom to Iraq.
Although a certain political party does exhibit the very tendency you describe.

A lot of times their problem is not my problem so it doesn't seem like a very big deal.
