"NEVER FALL IN LOVE"

Did you ever love someone and know they didn't love you?
Did you ever feel like crying but what good would it do?
Did you ever look into their eyes and say a little prayer?
Did you ever look into their heart and wish that you were there?

I say don't fall in love, my friend.
You'll be sorry if you do.
One day you'll be so happy and
the next you'll be so blue.

And when it starts, you don't know why.
You'll wonder day and night.
You see, my friend, you're losing them;
no matter how hard you fight.

Love is fine, but it hurts so much.
The price you pay is high.
If I could choose from love or death,
I think I'd rather die.

I say, never fall in love, my friend.
You'll regret it if you do.
You see, my friend, for I should know...
I fell in love with you.

it would depend on what the situation is. for example, i have a quote from a song by a group that was my best friend favorite group. it's engraved on a key ring. (he died several a few yrs ago, that's the reason i carry it). the quote says....strange how laughter looks like crying without the sound, raindrop taste like tears without the pain. if it somethig that has a meaning to the 2 of you then use it, be it poem or quote.

The last love poem I send to my husband was:

How do I begin to tell you how lucky I am
to have you in my life?
I'll start by saying what an honor it is
for me to be your wife.

You're my best friend in the good times
and my rock in times of sorrow.
You're the reason for sweet yesterdays
and my promise for tomorrow.

I never thought I could feel this loved
until I became your wife.
You made this year and every year
the best one of my life.

My husband is a musician so:

"If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.
That strain again! it had a dying fall:
O, it came o'er my ear like the sweet sound
That breathes upon a bank of violets,
Stealing and giving odour!"
