I mean come on, i didn't see it.I don't know why though.And people think i'm crazy for not seeing it.They think it's like a must to have watched the wizard of oz when you were little.Okay so what do you think about this?

Its a classic - you should see it. It is a classic because it is based on a classic children's story, has great "execution", and is a part of film history because it is one of the earliest if not the first movie that actually uses color film to tell the story. A friend of mine went to go see it in a theater, and he had only seen it on a black and white TV. Imagine that you have never seen a color movie when you go see it and imagine what the reaction of the audiences would have been back then! My friend's reaction was the same - wow! See it on as big a screen as you can - this was, after all, meant to be seen in a movie theater. You're not crazy for not having seen it - but you should see it because its worth seeing at least once.

I don't really like the Wizard of Oz and don't think you're crazy. Just curious, have you seen Wicked the musical? It's a story of the bad witch from the Wizard of Oz, and her side of the story. Now that's something that I would call someone crazy for not seeing!

What you watch is your business.....and everybody else can just get over it.
I would say that the Wizard of OZ is a classic, but you really need to see it as a young person first because you lose some of the magic of it all once you become 'mature'. I loved it as a child, but as grown-up I realize it's just not all that stimulating to an adult mind.

1st of all I don't worry about what others say about me.
And as far as whether or not you've seen a show or movie is
not the end of the world. Maybe you did see it when you were younger. IF you didn't, Big Deal. Any one who think you're crazy
for not seeing an 40+ yr.old movie has to get another life to live.
You should be more careful how you pick your friends. You may
want to select a few new ones.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned this, but the movie is based on drugs. The girl goes to Oz because she is playing in the poppy field which is where opium is grown. The entire trip to Oz is a hallucination.

It is a long and very boring movie to watch. If you haven't seen it, so what? I haven't seen plenty of movies. People just have a problem with other people not thinking what they think is great. It is only good if you have a big group of friends watching with a couple of jokesters adding dialog.
