Taco Bell.
No matter what state you're in, you can never go wrong with Taco Bell. Go on...make a run for the border. You know you want to.

Wintzell's Oyster House, I thought Lulu's was overpriced for the exact same food you can find in any seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. By the way, Alabama is a pretty big state, you might want to be a little more specific.

Depends on what part of Alabama you are going to.
Download the brochure "100 dishes to eat in Alabama before you die" from the tourism website (link below) and check it out. There may be something on there in the area that you are going.
If you are going to be down in the southern part near the gulf, Jesse's in Magnolia Springs is a great place.

LuLu's. It's located on Hwy 59 at the foot of the canal bridge in Gulf Shores. LuLu is Jimmy Buffet's mom by the way. The food is great and is served in piles. It is built on the canal with a mulit-million dollar marina behind it. In the summer the outside walls are 'opened' (a-la giant garage type doors) in order to let the salt breeze in. Live music on weekends, huge outdoor sand play area for kids. Look for me --(I'll be in the bar!)
