MAC are very very comprehensive when it comes to products, and if you are dark skinned, they will defiantely have the correct shades for you.
HOWEVER, in my experience, MAC counters are a bit of a minefield - if you can get someone to serve you, beware the sales woman always pushing you to buy more.
Bobbi Brown once again has a great range of colours but her stuff is very neutral - doesnt have the range that MAC does.
If I were you, because you have sensitive skin, which can breakout easily, I would dry a brand that promotes the importance of skin. Good brands to try are: SHU UEMURA water-in foundation, RMK, SHISEIDO, and BIOTHERM.
They tend to look after your skin too, whereas I find that MAC, with its smelly purfume, has a tendency to make me breakout (and I have well behaved skin).
Hope that helps.

I highly recommend Prescriptives - they custom blend most of their products, so you can tell all your problem areas and they should be able to blend it to your specifications.
MAC, Bobbi Brown and I-Iman Cosmetics carry colours for darker skinned people as well.
I would suggest you get a consultation first so that you get products that are suited to your skin tone/skin issues.

Mac are fab...but they can also be a bit pricey. However Black Opal and rather suprisingly Body Shop, do fantastic quality products for dark/ethnic skin which is very resonably priced. ! Good luck:)

I think MAC is the best for eyeshadows, eyeliners, lipglosses, blushes, and concealors. Lancome is the best for foundations and tinted moisturizers.

CHANEL, it is the best dermatologically!!!
Clinique is also good...
not Rimmel, it is harsh on skin...
CHANEL eye make-up is undoubtedly the best, Lancome is close behind.
A cheaper option is Max Factor-the Masterpiece mascara is outstanding!!!
