Doris Day recorded the song for the film, and her recording became a #1 hit, both in the U.S. and the UK. The recording was released by Columbia Records as catalog number 40704. It first reached the Billboard magazine charts on July 7, 1956. On the Disk Jockey chart, it peaked at #2; on the Best Seller chart, at #3; on the Juke Box chart, at #3; on the composite chart of the top 100 songs, it reached #2. YES YES YES! I want to come back in my next life as Doris! She is SOOOO cute and pretty and she has a lovely voice. I adore her! My favourite one? that's a toughy, I LOVE Pillow Talk AND Calamity Jane. Please Don't Eat the Daisies, Glass Bottom Boat and That Touch of Mink. She has class and style and is just wonderful!
