True love is a mutual trust, respect, and accpetance. True love has empathy and compassion.
Selfish dreams are the desire to have the approval of another to enhance one's own self esteem. It lacks empathy and is narcissistic. Selfish dreams do not give weight to another's position.
True love focuses outwarldy, and selfish dreams focus inwardly.

True love is doing anything for the person no matter how much it hurts you. A selfish dream is like, you will do anything you want to just because you want to. You really don't care how the other person feels.

True Love is something that the two of you share together, When you feel deeply for a person that you like and feel comfortable with that is not necessarily True Love, but it can be considered as an infatuation, and by trying to make your partner & yourself believe that it is True Love, then you are not only being blind & selfish to your partner, you are also being blind & selfish to your self as well!!!!!!! And that is not the way True Love with some one is suppose to be!!!!!!!!

True love to me:........Love is best seen as devotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based on how we feel. Certainly our emotions are involved, but they cannot be our only criteria for love. True devotion will always lead to action - true love.

My favorite bible verse:..."Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."
I Corinthians 13:4-8a

A selfish dream:.....The line is thin between a good dream and a bad one. Dream a selfish dream, and reap selfish benefits. Dream an unselfish dream, reap unselfish benefits. Remember, Sharing goes both ways.

True love is true and real. you really love that person no matter what they look like or who they are. A selfish dream could be a dream thats just a really hot guy or girl and you love them because you want to to look cool or your trying to get to his friend or her friend.

True love is one that you are willing to give up in order to make the person you love happy. A selfish dream means that you aren't willing to sacrifice anything. They aren't opposite ends of the spectrum, and true love doesn't mean the person you love loves you back.

True love does not seek selfish gain or advantage. In fact, when you truly love someone, you act in a selfless manner that promotes your partner's well-being, self-esteem, health, and state of mind.

A selfish dream, on the other hand, tends to focus on the fulfillment of your own concocted desires without regard for other people's rights, thoughts, actions, beliefs, and/or feelings.

Does this help?

true love is two people who would do anything for each other. A selfish dream only has something in it for one person. A true lover wants to please as much as be pleased.
