Hey everyone, I live in Australia and want to make a call to my friend's cell phone in Maine, USA (he's with Verizon). He gets free minutes on the weekends so I'm wondering if I call him, will it cost him anything or will he lose any of his minutes seeing as it's Sunday?

If he receives a call from anyone or anywhere in the world it is the same usage. So if he has unlimited night and weekend minutes then he will not incur any minute usage or international fee's.

If he has N&W and you are the one calling him then no he won't lose any minutes, but if you call him during peak hours then yes he will lose minutes. He will also never receive the additional toll fee if he is RECEIVING the calls.
