Is there anyone here who loathes this show? What don't you like about it? What would you rather watch instead?

I used to have a BF that loved Dr. Who, and I could never figure out why. The acting is poor, the sets are bad, the effects are laughable, and the story lines are weak beyond belief. I would rather watch nearly anything else other than that, but usually, if I am in a mood to watch TV, and it comes on, I just turn the television off.

I hate it & have done ever since Jon Pertwee (I think it was him - before Tom Baker anyway)stopped being the Doctor.
I would rather watch paint dry than watch it now.

Yeah, hate Dr Who, but love the soundtrack, it's so spooky and haunting. The KLF sampled it in the late eighties and it rocked. I rather watch anything else.

I liked the old Dr. Who episodes where the special effects were "not so special". I haven't been hooked by this new show yet and probably won't be.

I think its genius bringing it back. It finally has high production values after years of cardboard cut out sets and crap makeup.
