Well it depends. Guinea Pigs are great if your looking for a long term relationship with an animal guinea pigs are'nt like goldfish they can stay alive for about 10 years. Also there pretty stinky but if you like ferrets, birds and mice then you'll like 'em. It is also very imortant to buy a variety of food for them carrots, grass, guinea pig food, and other veggi's. Guinea pigs mess up there cage pretty easily so you have to clean it up weekly. If that answers your Q then gimme 10 points. Just Kiddin u dont have to.

They are OK. They do take a lot of care. More than a dog or cat. Their cage has to be changed every week, and cleaned well. Guinea pigs do have an Oder.

awwww! I had a pig for about 5 years. Scarlett was sweet and lovable. They do have to have their cage changed every week, and their nails need to be trimmed. But they live about 5-7 years, and are wonderful pets. HOWEVER.. one thing that you have to know... DO NOT use cedar chips as bedding. It is bad for their respitory. DO NOT use it! Use "natural bedding" I say go for it!

Yes I think they do make good pets. they're fun to play with and make funny noises. You should brush them at least once every three days. Buy a ball for it to run in. They are nocturnal so make sure you play with it at night. Don't wake it up during the day or it will get mad at you.

They call them pigs for a reason. They will make a lot of noise every time you open the fridge. My brother named his bastard after a while. It's origonal name was butterscottch. Then he called it the little bastard and eventually just bastard. His kids wern't even that into it. All that said he got it from my other brothers kid when he had to move away. Now this kid really liked the little pig. He took it out all the time and it was used to this.

Yes, they are good pets. But it takes a little hard work. Cleaning the cage, feeding it and making sure it's fur is in good condition.

They are great pets, but it takes a lot of special care to keep them healthy, and every day commitment, plus the finacial ability to take them to a vet if needed. My piggies are all over 6 years old. Check the webs to see if you want to commit to taking care of one.

Yes . But they need more care then you think. They need to have hay , dried food and fruit or vegtables every day (of course water). They need salt lick and vitamin C supplement. They need to be socialized and excercised 20 minutes or more everyday.Good luck!
