okay you had a few accidents, its natural you lost your confidence but remember that every driver had some nervousness when they started driving. If you drive at your own speed and keep an eye on the car in front and keep the proper distance you will soon get back your confidence also the drivers behind you are also doing the same so its up to them to take any action which might result in them driving into you. So best of luck.

"Hey lonely_liv, I really "listened" to your words. You said you had a few minor accidents when you started driving. Now, think back to that time. Why? Because you had the necessary confidence then, even though you had a few minor accidents as a result. Think back to the way you were. Now, you can successfully get back to that special feeling ... when you started. There is only one thing to eliminate during another drive. What is it? A MINOR accident. Your ok right now in your thinking.
What's next? Now, your thinking about driving. That's the way!
Your having no problem with your actual driving ... it's the accident that's giving you a scare! Ok?
Before I go on, I want to mention foxyfalconhu, irish dave and mighty_power7. They all have some really good ideas about what you have to avoid (just a minor accident) and what you should do when you get out for a drive. This time, concentrate a little more on preventing an accident. That's the only problem you've had. You can beat it! All of us on yahooanswers want you to succeed! You can do it ... you did it when you first began to drive, you can do it again (without an accident this time).
We have hope for you!"

Practice! Try and focus completely of driving- I have a friend who is an aweful driver. She has been in at least 7 accidents (mostly running into things like fences and whatnot). I have been with her for two of these and they were both while she was bouncing to music that was turned up WAY too loud. Driving is to get from one place to another, it is not a fashion show, or a way to make all the innocent people listen to you type of music. Just drive!

Take it slow. Drive around the block on a Sunday morning when it's not so bust and remember how it use to feel to be free (not asking for rides nor walking, or catching the bus. Take your time until your confidence in driving is back on track and go from there.

Play video games.... race cars ....thats how I learned. You need to get the wheel /joystick and the pedals and all that stuff. Its good practice like the real thing. You just don't go no 200 mph on intersate! However you'll get the feel of things it will be natural for you. You can learn alot from video games! Just remember the video game lets you "continue" when you crash. So take it slow!

I do not think that you are a worse driver than most people, so just remeber that. Many people have minor accidents when they start driving, so you should be prepared that more can happen, that's okay, but be as careful as you can

go to the mall parking lot EARLY on Sunday morning with a pal, or mom, whoever. practice accellerating, stopping, parking ect. Get the feel of the wheel. Also, drive quieter roads. Dont give up, youll do fine. You may play your fav. tunes on low volume, to take the edge of. good luck.

Buy a Mercedes you'll feel great and you won't want anyone hitting your car and vice versa. Otherwise buy a small sports utility car. Practice during less busy times of the day this may help..

Forget it. You will never be able to drive. I have never heard of anyone getting a few minor accidents when they started...seriously. You have to be a real careless or clutzy person to get into that mess. Why not take the bus?

drive as often as you can. it's the only way to get over your fears. don't be afraid to even go UNDER the speed limit and take things extra-carefully.
