Go to the Yahoo e-mail page.
Create a favorite to the page
Drag that favorite over to your desktop
Drop it, and it will create an icon to the Yahoo e-mail page
You can use this technique to create an icon to any webpage

When the page below is open go to "file" on top taskbar, then "send" then "to desktop"
If that doesn't work try this below.
Save this page to your hard drive
https://login.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl=us
and then right click and hold on the icon, drag to desktop and then create shortcut.
