Why I Love America
Because I had the opportunity to serve my country for 30 years in the Army. Because America gave me the opportunity to lead men in combat. Because America allowed me to excel, to learn about other people and other things. Because in America I an express my feeling, I can write my Senator and express to him the policies I like or dislike. I love America because I can go to church, I can read whatever books I want to read, I can listen to whatever music I want to listen to, I can drive whatever car I want to, I can own a home, jeep, and sailboat. Because I can have a wife and 3 lovely daughters. I love America because I can read other peoples thoughts and opinions. I love America because I can vote for whomever I feel is the correct candidate. I love America because I can barbecue when I want. I love America because it has men and women who sacrifice their lives so that other people can have a free life.

I love America because I can say what a total @$$ gw bush is, I can tell the truth without going to jail. I love America because those lost souls that believe gw have the right to be lost and even after the traitor gw is convicted for treason they won't be hunted down like the vermin they are. I love our troops because I was one, they have a really hard, dirty and thankless job... God Bless Them and Keep Them Safe. I love America because it is the Greatest Nation on the face of the Earth.... if it was an Islamic nation it would be just anothe chit hole.

The troops have done what was asked of them. It doesn't matter if you are for or against the war in Iraq (I happen to think it was mistake) the troops still went in and did the best they could with the tools they were given. I love America because it provides the greatest opportunity of anyplace in the world. I love the principles spelled out in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. We need to stay true to those principles if we are going to continue to be a great nation. We can't let the ongoing struggle against terrorists make us turn our backs on those principles. That's the very least we owe to our men and women in uniform.

The reason I love America? Well, I couldn't pinpoint it exactly until I went overseas (Iraq) and talked to locals and saw exactly all I had to be so thankful for. I'm proud to live in a country that allows me the freedom to dream--that my potential is limited only by my mind and what I'm willing to work for. I'm proud that growing up and dreaming big, and one day achieving your dream lifestyle is refered to as "The American Dream" because after traveling around the world a bit I see that we're lucky to actually be able to achieve it when there are so many other places in the world where they don't bother to dream because they don't see the point. Freedom to choose is just one of the many reasons I'm proud to live in the greatest country in the world.
As for loving the troops--that is easy. They're my brothers and sisters in arms, so there's nothing I wouldn't do for them. I have a great admiration for those who volunteer to serve and put their lives on the line--there is no cause more honorable.

I love what the USA stands for, or at least what we stood for years ago. I love the troops because they fight for the freedom of our country and in some cases the freedom of poor saps who will never be able to enjoy what they have due to years of suffering under a person like Saddam and how that breaks your spirit to live for the greater cause of passing freedom on to your own children. I pray they have the ability to overcome and to help the little Iraqi children to enjoy what their parents never got to.

How could anyone not love America? This is the greatest country in the world!!! Sure we have our complaints about government and other things, but we have the RIGHT to talk about it. Other countries have laws that keep people from talking about such things. Our troops are the greatest also because they put their lives on the line for the lives of everyone else. I am sooooooo proud to be an American and proud to have served my country in the U.S.A.F. and proud to be marrying a man who served in the U.S. Army and spent his time in Iraq...................

I love the ideals that this country was founded on.
I love the thought that anyone can rise to lead. That we all have a say in choosing our leaders. That freedom and liberty are considered to so vital to the system that our government is forbidden from infringing on them. I love the fact that we are encouraged to care for each other, and that both the individual and the community are valued.
And I respect those who choose to put on a uniform, and stand in harms' way so that we have these freedoms, Whether that means police or firefighters, soldiers, relief workers, national guard. They are stepping up to say that this country and its ideals are worth defending, and they risk their lives to do it. That deserves respect, not only for them, but for their families who help them and support them in this goal.

I love America because I was born here and have spent 60 years here. I do support the troops in the job they are doing even though I do not support the war in Iraq. It is a lost cause as they are never going to accept a puppet government set up by George Bush. They are in a civil war at this time because of his policy's. We do not need to be in the middle of that.

Well i dont love america, as a country and its people i respect everybody, i like the way things work.
but as far as the government and soldiers are concerned, soldiers and their families on a human level - i respect them but as far as killing innocent civilians and abusing people, i so hat em!. and government - its all biased, based on selflessness, doesnt listen to its people, i think the american government is the most sophisticatedly corrupt since democracy began.

I love living here. Its pretty nice to not have to worry about dying although in some parts you do. I love the ideas of those who founded this country. I love when we fight for something right. I cannot say this war we are in currently is being run right and if we did the right thing but I love that we have soliders that would do something even if they are against it for the better of our country.
