Its a joke from HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Some character in the movie asked what the answer to life was and it was (42)....its been a long time since I saw it but its in there somewhere.

and theres confusion and the computer goes "u shud have asked me what the QUESTION to the universe was."
so now we have the answer but we don't have the question. kinda sux, and ppl are just gay and do answer questions that way.
