How do I explain what science is to somebody that's never even heard of it?

mmm... might be a bit difficult. I'll try:

Science is what we know about the wolrd we live in. Things we know because we proved them through experiments.

and you might add something like:
Not necessarily what we know for sure, but what we think is true about the world.


You might put in a few examples, at that point: like that an ice cube is less dense than water. And that we prove it by seeing it float. Something like that.

Unless this person lives in the dark ages, I don't know how you could not have heard of Science. Besides there are different sciences for different things. Mainly it means "To Study" or the Study of etc. Take Geology for example Geology means the study of Rocks and Minerals and the effects of Activity inside the Earth. if your tallking about Scientific words you should read the Definiton of that word or try saying something like Astronomy is the study of stars and planets and etc in the Galaxy. Most people know that there are stars up in the sky they just need a Better definition of what a star is Like saying The Sun really really far away.

Theories are ways of explaining how things behave the way they do.

i believe that adult males are very strait forward with how they experience. they do no longer probable play video games, or upload the confusion into the placement. With that being mentioned, If the guy IS bobbing up greater desirable emotions for the guy, whether he could no longer say, he rather does no longer steer clear of you. Why could he steer clear of you if he has emotions for you??! isn't clever. he will desire to talk to you, see you, basically pay attention your voice.. All of those issues ya understand? as far as a guy accusing a woman of issues whilst she has been there for him. It feels like various immaturity to me, and life is far too short for all that mess! He needs to declare precisely the place he stands, and how he feels in direction of the guy, as a results of fact even with what all and sundry says various women are strait forward themselves, and in elementary terms call for the comparable in return. ANY guy who individually supplies me the dismiss.. they are long previous! Adios! it is not nicely worth sitting there biting your fingernails attempting to confirm what the intentions are. in the event that they do no longer care then they do no longer care, and no woman will on no account, ever replace that. desire I helped! :)

You don't need to explain it. Just ask one question: "Which one do you think will drop first?"

Then go to the nearest tower and drop a 1-lb. weight and a 5-lb. weight at the same time and watch them fall at the same time.
