He was a talented opera trained singer and genius songwriter. He sang almost every voice (if not all of them) by over-dubbing in "Bohemian Rhapsody". His tonal harmonic progressions, so full of drama, allowed for imagination of how the interpreter felt, without even reading the lyrics, as in "You Take My Breath Away". The mixing of various styles in one performance like the Rock into Flamenco into Medieval/Fantasy choir in "Innuendo". His collaborations with other artists like David Bowie in "Under Pressure" in which near the end he preaches "Why can't we give love?" Along with his charisma and showmanship make him one of Rock 'n' Roll's greatest stars. He really was one of Music's great minds and he's truly left a void in modern music no other act could follow.

OK how much queen have you listened 2? there's really a lot more variety then you'd think.I do feel everyone makes a bigger deal about him then he was but he still was pretty darn good.
(he may have sucked at something but it Sure wasn't music.)

no sorry....F.M. was one of the greatest front men EVER he had stage presence, the vocal chops....everythign..and he was loved by men AND women.

I wouldn't go as far as to say he "sucked", but he was probably over-rated.
