I just thought of this as my dad and I got back home from breakfast this morning. I can understand the need for acceleration for race cars, emergency vehicles, cop cars, etc. but why do cars have a top speed limit for 120 when driving that fast on a freeway or street is illegal?

And yes, I am bored.

Well, its a factory thing for one. They used to have the less powered cars top off at 85mph. Seems like it doens't have enough numbers then. Is more of a show thing. Better look on the gauges.

And yes, you can drive that fast, till you get caught, or at least in Montana its legal.
