One marine store not too far from me sells them live, but most stores don't. I keep them in water in my fridge for up to two weeks.

It's generally hard to find them live. Honestly live food is pain, and bad for your fish. It's hard to keep the worm alive, and healthy. Plus live and frozen food can carry disease. Get freeze dried ones. They are sterile, cheaper, and keep for a long time.

Bloodworms are a larvae sort of like mosquito larvae. They live in water. I have only seen them frozen or freezedried, but maybe someone raises them. They are the offspring of a fly. By the way, they are excellent protein for your fishes.

Yes, you can get them freeze dried at your local pet shop. They also come frozen as well. All they are is red mosquito larvae...Usually they don't sell them live, becasue they will emerge too quickly and become mosquitos in the petshop.
