since you say that you come from a family of late bloomers, then I'd say, yes, it's normal, but if you're really worried go see a gynecologist

Sounds like you already know this is normal, if you have a family history of this. Our bodies know what they are doing and will start when they are ready.
Don't worry about it-- as soon as your period does come, you'll probably wish for a few more years without it!

yes some girls dont get there periods until there 18 your probally a late bloomer and its nothing to look forward to trust me.

yes this is somewhat normal if you have not started soon like in three months or so then go to the doctor and see if you have other medical problems like thyroid problem that will make it to where you have not gotten a period.

Consider yourself lucky! LOL! Anyway, yes, it's normal. My friend was 18 before she started, and the doctor told her it was completely normal. Some girls start when they're nine. It just depends. Just enjoy that you don't have to worry about it!

no there is not something wrong with you. it is just as you said, you are a late bloomer, so don't worry. talk to your docter if you don't get it in another year. good luck.

I have one niece who started at age 9 and her sister didn't start till age 15 so don't worry yet talk to you doctor if you are worried
