I need a good piece of text to change into another type of text, eg
A diary entry into a Newspaper report...
The diary of Anne Frank into a Newspaper report - but thats not original...
anything like that
I just cant think of a good piece of text, i mean, it could be ANYTHING, and it can be turned into ANYTHING!!!
Please, im really stressing about this.

I want it to be original because it would get me better marks, and it HAS to be an official text (eg, a published book, newspaper column etc) which i then change into something else...

Why don't you try it the other way round. read a newspaper report and turn it into a story. Like, if it was a gang shooting, change it into something like....'all was quiet on the street, not even any children playing outside, etc, etc.'

This depends on what your interests are. I am really keen on Sci-Fi so I would probably change a portion of harry potter/star trek into a newspaper article.
If you are really brave/mad, why not try the bible and put it in a newspaper article. This is not meant to be blasphemous by the way, just think how exciting reading about some of the miracles etc would be in the newspaper (if you are religious etc).

What about if you took something factual, without emotion, such as a weather report or a story about some random occurrance and turned it into a journal entry.
Turn the story about the earthquake into a narrative and describe what it was like living through it.

Tennyson's charge of the light brigade, not sure what you could change it into maybe a play script or something, newspaper report, the generals diary entry. not sure what i would change it too but i think it is a fantastic poem.

ok sounds like you need to use something that can be researched using the internet so if it was me i'd....
look at something big that has happened in the past (say the Titanic going down) or can you make something up that is going to happen in the future, that would be original !! any more info on this? is it for a class paper? when you say it's got to be original, can it be something like jack the ripper story, or not because it's been used?
