If:

The government funds/subsidizes abortions. AND
Most abortions are performed on Minorities. AND
Abortions reduce geometric population growth. AND
Minorities remain minorities because they do not have the population of majorities.

Can we say that government subsidized abortions would be keeping minorities in a reduced position of power through denial of a growth in their ability to vote en masse?

Minorities get the most abortions as a ratio to their total populations, whites still get the greatest absolute amount of abortions because of their increased weight in the total population.

And this is a thought experiment so whoever is quoting the bible down there needs to reread the word "WOULD" in the question.

Worst Answer So Far- Sexy Law Chick:

Its going to take a heap of nonsensical gobblegook to beat her illogical diatribe in this category.

As much as I like poking fun at those who are "educated" so wrongly, I have to give her credit for saying God Bless at the end.

She must have went to the Falwell Law School.

This is not the way a minority will grow or a majority will cease. The idea of funding in these issues is not that simple. The cause for abortion might be lack of safety in sex and is definitely a way to have correctly structured families that are the foundation of a good society. You take from here and preach what is good.

the government outlawed slavery...then POOF. all the slave masters gave their slaves a hug, helped them packed their bags, and drove them around to find a legitimate job. the government enacted the 14th amendment...then POOF. everybody started treating everybody like family, and no one ever discriminated ever again.

my point is...what the government does has minimal impact on how people choose to govern themselves. to summize that government subsidy for abortions is why minorities are in a reduded position of power is so misguided and far-fetched that it baffles even a person like myself, who loves to take the time to educate the unknowing (and i love to be educated myself). sir, minorities are in a reduced position of power because we were brought to this country that way. after hundreds of years of being enslaved, then several more decades of fighting for equality after slavery, how do you expect us to be? when my MOTHER was a child (not even 50 years ago), she couldn't even use the same bathrooms, water fountains or sit anywhere we wanted on a bus. even now in 2006 we are still lobbying to not have to "renew" our right to vote.

and given all of that, you still have questions about why minorities are in a reduced position of power?? and it is your theory that you CHOSE to type on the world wide web...that it is b/c the government subsidizes abortions?? sir, the government has done a lot of things, good and bad, and whether you agree with the things or not, i will tell you that PEOPLE are the enabling mechanism of what is wrong with the disparity between the majority and minorities. granted, i understand that the government is run by people. but that is exactly my point. a person in the government can not make the decision for you, me, he or she to make a choice with their body. nor can they make a doctor choose to perform the act. they can just enact and repeal laws. just like the government couldn't force your great great granddaddy to treat my great great granddaddy like a human being after slavery ended. or like your grandmother or grandfather, could choose to call the police if my grandmother or grandfather didn't get out of their seat in the front of the bus.

finally, maybe your question would not have gotten so much resistance had you formed it with sincerity. it is obvious that you have already have a formed opinion, and it shows in how you formed the question. a sincere inquiry would have been: "what do you think about government subsidized abortions? do you think it has an impact on certain ethnic/minority groups?" but again, the form of your question is what you CHOOSE to do. and i hope that you also CHOOSE to go back to the drawing board.

God bless

the way it truly is now, abortions are way puffed up. it truly is huge agency and a huge income is made on them. If or maybe as the authorities is in fee of well-being care, the fee of an AB might want to be minimum even as you evaluate it truly is a quite undemanding technique (takes about 5 minutes contained interior the palms of a pro) and can want to hardly ever fee the taxpayer a dime. If or maybe as the authorities takes over our well-being care and AB via twist of destiny isn't lined, the fee of AB is oftentimes minimum so risk is even a nasty man or woman might want to need to locate the money for it. via creating use of as we talk's criteria with inner optimal well-being care flipping the bill, the fee of AB is off the charts and that is in reality even as you evaluate it truly is income pushed and the privateness and welfare of the female in contact are their very last priority.

I would doubt oppression would be the term your suggesting by the question. Ethnic cleansing would be more likely, but I don't agree. Ethnic minorities earn less than their white counterparts and can't afford to always raise these children. I would believe forcing them to have children they can't afford, and then forcing them to provide child care to work or not work at all, is the oppression you are concerned about.

Minorities are not and will be in the minority for long. You should look more at where they live because of how much they are educated and paid and their religious/social custums that have them pregnant a lot.
