So far I can occasionally get yahoo on the more troubling computer, but google or hotmail, or most other sites, forget about it. I've tried to check that whole LAN thing those "page not found" messages tells me I can do as an option, but I'm not sure what to look for. Help please?

Thanks for the advice. But at the risk of sounding like a computer illeterate, how do you:
check modems?
Check/power up routers?
Any more of the other stuff that was listed.
Sorry, I'm just really bad at computers...

I'm having the issues on all the computers, but just worst on the one that was infected last night. The people who run this office haven't done too much to protect it computer wise. We do have an adware/spyware removal thing that I have been using today though.

1. If you're using Windows, you can check if the LAN is active by looking at the lower part of the screen and seeing if the icon with two computers are active, meaning, they blink from time to time. Double-clicking this icon shows whether the connection is Connected or Disconnected.
2. You can also check the rear part of the computer where your LAN cable is connected. You should see a blinking light very near the port where the LAN cable is connected. If this light is not blinking, then there's a problem with your network.
3. If one computer is attacked by a spyware/adware, the other two computers shouldn't have any problems. You can also try accessing the other two computers to check if your LAN card is working.
4. Other than these, you may have to call your service provider.

If you are having trouble connecting to the internet on all three computers, try turning off the router for a minute and then turn it back on. If you can make a connection and the connection stays then you are okay. If it does not stay or if the internet is still unaccessible, then turn off the modem. Wait a minute and turn it back on. If it connects then you may be having some ISP issues. If the connection drops after a while you might want to have your ISP check the line.
If you are having problems only on that one computer, it could be the spyware or adware causing it. It could have changed the homepage.

You did not give much detail. But I am guessing that you are all connect to a router which them connects to your ISP. Recommend that you shut down all the computers, power down the router, and the power down the ISP's modem. Repower the modem, wait a minute and repower the router, give a couple minutes then repower the PCs. That should clear everything on your end. If still not working after that, contact the ISP.

Don't you have all the computers protected with Zone Alarm Pro? If the spyware made changes to the system registry then you will at this point have to initiate "System Restore" to a date before you noticed the spyware!
Get Zone Alarm and Get Protection!
Zone Alarm not only detects the spyware but kills it for you!

Contact your ISP.
Tell them to configure a linux proxy for you so that you are free of viruses.
Also tell them to reset the settings of internet connection in your office.
That should be free of charge coz its considered as 'Support' and under normal circumstances it should be free of charge.

idk my guess is it may be your connection is slow and when three computers try to access it then it really slows it down and having the spyware/firewall etc stuff really slows down your connection so you maybe timing out but idk but just try accessing the internet from one computer and see if you get the same result if you do then i'm wrong but idk its my educated guess
