oh yeah, i noticed all this exploitation of women stuff got started when the porn industry did. before that, nary a rape or beating or enslaved life. not a one.

now why those darn porn-saturated scandanavians actually provide years of paid maternity leave and other benefits that so respect women is utterly beyond me..... hmmmmm

You raise two issues:
1. Copyright protections
These are not concerned with the content of the work. They serve to protect the author/creator/owner of the work from being copied without re-numeration of some sort.
2. Exploitation of women
This is a moral issue not a legal one. I agree that women should not be exploited but then again I also believe that people (adults) should be free to do what they want as long as they don't hurt someone else. So answer me why women who are exploited put themselves freely in a position of exploitation?

The porn industry rarely pursues those who infringe on their copyright unless someone is using their porn to make a profit. They usually see people like illegal down-loaders as potential buyers because they know that once someone is "hooked" they are more likely to actually buy their products. further more as porn has become more mainstream it it has become less immoral in the sense that not as many women or men have been forced to do things that they didn't want to do. In the days of underground porn many women and some men were actually slaves and had no choice in the matter. this still occurs today, but mostly in the smaller more underground porn companies.

Wronmg way round maty...

Its like this... Today there was a drnking relay party game... two tearms of four...

Only one had a head start of 7 secconds as the girl flashed her boobs...

Sex does not get girls exploited , it enables girls to expolit guys...

Example...

Binki car wash vs regualr one... the girls can charge 5 times as much and have more customers as using assets.

You are talking bollocks... I worked fro a comapny that worked for Playboy...

The naicest company I have worked for who stick up for staff including the girls say against bullying landlords...

What would regualr companies do... its your kind that abuses the women...

Example... would you be cool employing an ex pole dancer say in a school?

I would , Put her incharge of keep fit, or in aan office get her to do a morning work out for people.

How about employing an ex-porn star as a teacher?

Why Not? not as though she hurt anyone... Her porn company did not mis treat her, her fans did not... But you do in not giving her the job.

Id get her to do sex ed and councelling.

Lets see my jobs have averaged a wage of £14,000

Despite going through uni and lots of experience.

Yet pole dancers would earn that in less then 3 weeks... At £800/night up to over £200,000 a year...

Or once they have a house and luxury and invested it... Only work a few weeks of the year and live it up travelling...

The porn company did the work so whats the problem with
copyright like any other creative work.?

Ideally the actor/ress should get part of the profits.

Ive met porn stars and seen people meet them. their fans were like young teen school girls asking for autographs. They were not abused at all.

Yes they is some nasty porn and exploitiation but its in all industries

Like mining and farming in the third worls or sweat shop factories where people are exploited to make your trainers and how about petrol?

people are mudered and seriously oppressed for theat with countries invaded...

How about the child slaves making chocolate?

Learn to think and loose the relgious notion...

The countries with the most open legal attiuded to sex wehere the industry is professional and rtegulated have lower crime rates...

In all industries you just have to clear out the scum and leave the nice lot alone

It falls into the freedom speech bill. It would seem that a law could be written to prevent porn and exploitation, especially of children, but there has been one.

The women is porn are there because they want to be. It's called free will. Ask any porn star if she feels exploited and she'll tell you no.

Just because many people think something is bad, or if something has been historically considered to be bad... even if something is illegal, it does not mean that it is categorically immoral.

Read up on morals before you use the word again. Read moral philososphy. Most of the great philosophers have spent a lot of time on it, because it is so much more complex than the average person/idiot bothers to think.

You know what, the ones who work in the porn industry aren't forced to. They chose to themselves. Many directors and producers are women, do you really think they're exploited? Idiot.
