I tiold this guy at my work to meet me at a bar (with other friends) and then i had to leave cause all of my friends wanted to go to another bar (like 15 minutes out of the way) but since they were my ride, i had no choice. So, i called him and told him we'll be there instead. So when he got there I had to leave 20 minutes after he arrives cause my ride just NEEDED to go home. I apologized. Do you think that was mean? Do you think he should understand? i only carse cause hes my manger. He seemed understanding at the time. I know, DUMB question...

No, you are not mean. But it may be nice to do more than apologize with words. Does he have a sweet toothe? The next day you are at work with him, take a little treet in for him and maybe just one of those 99 cent cards, saying sorry.....and in the card invite him and a guest to go out with you and your husband for dinner and drinks. That way he will know for sure you were not playing him. Good luck.

He should understand because first you are married and husbands do get jealous and second this was your ride its up to them when its time to leave, I am sure he did understand the circumstances and it was not mean at all

If you're married, (and I assume your manager knows this...) and you are REALLY only friends, then WHY is it REALLY bothering you? If you're going to say, "Because it's my JOB! duh!", then you shouldn't have invited him in the first place, (let alone the fact that you are MARRIED...)

(Among other things...) I don't think you're asking the right question... Maybe your question should have been: (instead of "mean") Was I "wrong"?

Tell YOURSELF the truth; then you'll have your answer. (I for one, think you left because you were uncomfortable/felt guilty/changed your mind...) Like I said, tell YOURSELF the real deal. "Relax. Relate. Release." Then, you'll have your answer.

PS Thank you Sweetheart. I hope it helped you.

If you're married & can't ride with him, why in the heck did you invite him to meet you at the bar in the first place?! You can't play on both sides of the fence!!!!!

sounds kinda complicated situation - but I don't think you were mean if you explained to the guy what was happening but I think given the fact you're married and he's your manager that you shouldn't have invited him in the first place

I don't see any problem in your story. It seems you are thinking of all the people around you at the same time.

yes I think it was mean, he should have never been invited if the friends you were with were gonna be bar hopping. If I were him I would have been upset to.
