Those who can, do. Those who can't go to school for it. If you have talent, you shouldn't have any problem. If this is just something you want but have never done it and don't know anything about it, go to school.

Absolutely. You just need to do an apprentuship with a landscaping company and learn more and more about it; become more engaged and known for your talent and skill in that area and then take on more and more responsibility.

Develop good relationships based on the trust you have with others in that business -- I think you will find your opportunities start to present themselves for you quickly.

You have to be proactive and go to these landscape business owners and let them know of your desire and ask them if they will support you. Tell them you are willing to start at the bottom and will work your way up based upon the kind of work you do.

Tell them you are willing to grow and learn and that you ultimately want to be seen in teir eyes as their best employee.

Believe me, that will get their attention. They haven't heard that from anyone in a long time -- if ever.
