Yes, just make sure you have copies of all of your proper paperwork(classes taken, credits earned, amount of financial aid, etc.). I transferred to another college last year and the transition went smoothly.

I'm not sure what you're asking here.
I'm assuming you mean money that you've received for financial aid or scholarships that are helping you pay for the college you are currently attending. (If not, and you mean money that you've already paid, out of pocket, for tuition at your current college, you need to speak with the registrar at your current school and find out what their policies on withdrawing and returned tuition are.) So, if you've received financial aid via the government through your FAFSA or a third party (ie-NOT the school you are attending right now), then that money should not go away. If it's a grant or a loan, that money can be used for anything, so it's no problem. If it's a scholarship from a third party, you will probably need to contact them and let them know you are transferring, but it shouldn't affect whether you receive the money.
If, however, any of your financial aid is in the form of scholarships, grants, etc. from the school you are attending, that won't transfer anywhere. If you aren't attending that college anymore, they're not going to give you any money. You should contact the financial aid department of your transfer school to apply for new loans, scholarships, grants, etc. there.

You need to find out if the school that you are transferring from will give you the money that is not used. Then if they do you can put that into your new school. Also you need to find out how many credits will transfer from the old school to the new school. Some places do not transfer well. If your classes have not started yet at the old school you can usually drop the classes and receive 100% of your money back.

The money won't be transferred, but some of your credits will.
