Recent video taped testimony from General Al-Tikriti of Saddam's regime confirms that the Russians had a secret alliance with Iraq and that the months of stalling by France, Russia leading up to the war were for them to have time to destroy evidence of their help in Iraq's WMD program as well as moving WMD out of Iraq into Syria. The Russians also sent the Kornet Anti-tank missiles into Iraq just before the war. These are the only surface launched missiles capable of destroying US tanks. This is information given by Dave Gaubatz, who was hired by the US government to be deployed to Iraq specifically to search for WMD because of his wide ties to intelligence networks.
