burb more frequently and space out feedings. Less oz.'s more often. My son has the same thing. He is 5 1/2 months and eats like a horse so sometimes it's difficult, but i give him 2 oz, burp, 2 oz, burp, wait a bit and then repeat in 2 oz intevals until food is gone. it should help. Also no bouncing or lying on belly right after eating.

It's not called acid reflux in a baby. It is called vomitting. Could be caused by just gas. But if she is failing to thrive, it could be a physical problem that requires prescription drugs or corrective surgery. Only a doctor can tell for sure. Go see one.

If it's been diagnosed by her pediatrician, they can put her on Zantac. My younger son was on it for 4 months, and what a totally different baby he was once it got into his system and started working!

Is it only the spitting up she is doing? Most reflux babies also scream and cry after eating and have a hard time sleeping. Spitting up isn't only a sign of reflux.

She doesn't have acid reflux , her stomach is just not accepting whatever you are giving her. My daughter threw up for along time. Several months. The stupid doctor told me to give her some meds that will eventually start messing her stomach up even more. Its completely normal for a baby to be spitting her milk up. It will go away eventually. Just try to hold her still and burp her , right after each feeding. It should stop.

My nephew had acid reflux from when he was a month until he was about 6 or 7 months. We just comforted him and fed him slowly, we would give him some milk for about 3 mins, take the bottle away for a few mins and give it back. We fed him slowly like that for most of his baby months. He didnt throw up quite as bad if we slowly fed him small amounts until the bottle was gone. I suggest asking your Doctor because the reflux can get very discomforting for the baby and painful. My nephew had some medication from the doctor for when he would cry and cry and cry and not quit we would just give him the med. and the pain would quit. good luck!

My son also has acid reflux...the thing you need to ask yourself is "is it a laundry problem or a health hazard?" If you haven't had to take your daughter to the hospital for dehydration caused by spitting up, if there hasn't been a sudden drop in weight because she isn't getting enough, etc...then don't worry too much, just keep an eye on it...my son has acid reflux so bad that every now and then he spits up just stomach acid...when I talked to his doctor about it, he told me to ask my self that question and to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't choke on it (occasionally he "chokes" on it..I think from the pain of it coming up)...so not to worry, just mention your concern to your pediatrician at her next visit...or give them a call and ask about it....it's likely that your baby just spits up a lot, which is normal for some. Also, it's likely just a couple of tbl. spoons...put sone liquid in a spoon and spread it on a counter, it looks like much more than what it is...don't try to medicate your baby yourself....

You will know its acid reflux by the smell of the throw up. It will smell of acid. Go to the doctor and ask for Reglan and Zantac. Might make baby sleepy but after a few months everything will be ok.

The best thing to do it see a pediatrician. My son had reflux and dehydrated and had to be on I.V for several days. The put him on a prescription medication. She needs medical attention~ but be careful some doctors will say it's cosmetic but there is a certain amount of nutrition she needs. Get more than 1 opinion. Good luck to you!
