There are too many books to pick a favorite but my favorite author is the late James Harriott. He was a veterinarian in the English countryside post WWII. He wrote very good books.

the lord of the rings
the scarlet pimpernel series
any books by Lucy Maud Montgomery
any books by Jane Austen
most books by Agatha Christy
any Sir Arther Conan Doyle books
and as I said there are sooo many more!!!

Either "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton, or "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens. Also Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are some of my favorites, too.

Arthur Golden's Memoirs of a Geisha. It is soo good and meaningful.
Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. It's very deep and entertaining.
