i mean since you filled out the work application or sent out CV until your 1st day at work....

It depends if the company is desperate and depends if you are available to start right away. From application to 1st day, it could be as short as the next day to several months.

8 years ago, I applied for a job and was called in that same day for an appointment for interview...went on interview next day or two and was working at that job the very next week. I'm still working at the same Company.

Doesn't always happen that quickly, though. However, when it is meant to be, there is no stopping it.

Can vary by employer. However, most employers know that if they don't respond in a reasonable amount of time that job seekers lose interest. For professional jobs, which require in depth interviews of multiple candidates, the wait can be longer -- 4-6 weeks. For entry level work, I've been offered on the spot.

If you have spelling errors in your application you may find it difficult to find a job.

for me 3 days for my boss to call me. But now i am doing home based business as part-time and is earning well. Im quite happy with my income now.
