you havent set you smtp up correctly.. go into "accounts" and make sure you have the right smpt.whatever.whatever put in.
If you're uing yahoo email you need to use your own Internet Providers smtp server. Go onto your providers site and find out what the smtp settings should be in Outlook.

Do as Kanuk says..he has said it all. If that doesn't work the only other thing you may try but ONLY if you know how to do it ..if not let your ISP talk you through it...I.E. delete & resurrect your email account. Its a 2 minute job & not all high tech stuff..but you need to know how to do it. So any ISP worth being with should talk you through it in 1 minute or two whilst you are actually doing it.

Go to your internet service providers web site and find out the name of your outgoing server (SMTP).
Open outlook express, go to tools, and select accounts. Select the mail account tab. Click on the mail account you are using and select properties. Click the servers tab and enter the correct server under outgoing mail.

The settings for smtp are probably wrong. First check the address, then also check id, password and required security settings for the server.

You could check your outgoing mail server. I have also seen this happen to high speed internet users who are connecting through other methods or networks.

It only happens to me when sending to the Uk, something to do with bouncing, and I can't understand what to do about it, because I don't understand what they say I must do.
