Miley Cyrus's mom is not dead. On the show, she is but in real life she's not. Miley has even talked about her mom in a recent interview.

Her mother isn't dead because Miley Cyrus has 5 younger sibilings that her mom takes care of. You just don't hear about her because she doesn't like to be in the spot light said Ashley Tisdale. So don't listen to the people who say she is because there thinking about Hannah Montana!!!!!SO STOP SAYING SHES DEAD!!!! Do u know how much that would hurt Miley Cyrus!!!!

In real life, Miley Cyrus' mom isn't dead.
In Hannah Montana, we still don't know what happened to her mom, except that she died 3 years ago. In Hannah Montana, her name is Miley Stewart, not Cyrus. :)

Yes I'm pretty sure her mom did die. And I think people are saying that she still has one is because that is her step mom, I think her dad re-married a girl named Latisha, and they had 5 kids or something like that. I'm not for sure what to believe though. Maybe it is just on the show, you never know.

yes, her original mom (destiny hope, who Miley was named after) died in a car accident about ten years ago, her dad got remarried to Latisha and had more kids, singing helps her remember her mom
