would you vote for a libertarian?

ill run on a platform promotting free beer and pizza for all americans, but i wint tell them that ill have to raise taxes to do it.

I'd vote for a Libertarian who could convince me that it would be possible to implement the ideas, and not just talk about them.
I'm all for responsible spending, reduced government influence, taxation only to fund the essentials, they all sound great. But to implement them would take a huge change in the way everyone thinks.
A Libertarian could win local, or even state posts but it would never fly nationally. Too bad because it would get the other two parties collective panties in a bunch.
So I'd be honored to vote for you.

You're platform doesn't sound very libertarian to me.
...But I'd still probably vote for the free beer and pizza, as long as it was somebody else being taxed.

I wouldn't vote for a Libertarian.
I understand the libertarian impulse, because it is a relatively simple ideology that seems logical on the surface, but any actual effort to poke at the edges exposes its flaws. It is very simplistic.

As much as I disagree with you I think you should run. Everybody has that right so go for it. Vote for you? Well, I'd have to hear your platform first and we have to see if you get nominated by your party. Seriously go for it.

I'd vote for a libertarian if he or she were qualified for the job, and were willing to support the libertian goals.
