Einstein had some great ideas and theories but he was also a man of peace. His ideas were crucial in developing the nuclear bomb and possible other military technology. Would Einstien look at his life as a success or would he regret every getting into the field of physics?

if you know in deep, then you'd be knowing that Einstein greatly regretted his giving the relativity theory which caused the bombing of Japan by US with atom bobms based on his theory. while dying he said that he remained unhappy throughout his life for committing such a "ghastly" act by revealing the theory to the 'infinitely stupid' humans! he rather died thinking on it. he even used to curse himself severely.(read his biographies).

thus he had already looked back into his life... and never continued scientific research after Japan bombings.

Einstein was always looking to the future. The past and present were probably irrelevant to him. I do not think you would find the word regret in his dictionary. He would probably have the mindset of "what's done is done".
Also, the discovery of nuclear technology was inevitable Einstein or no Einstein. The significance of any big name in science is not that they made discovery "A", but that they made discovery "A" first.

No! Einstein loved what he accomplished.. He knew about common people's stupidity.. He said it himself

"two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity"

So i don't think he would regret, and if he was to regain his life he would pick up where he left it

His field of work was so mind boggling that it was driving him to a point that if he had start it all over he would choose to be a Plummber (can you blame him?)

One thing he did not realize was infinity as an association to stupidity which is really a gift, but unfortunately very few know how to use.
