if you offer AMD, why AMD is cheaper if it is faster?
if you offer Intel, then how AMD is competing with this large - famous company (and win in many cases)

Intel - More people trust it.
AMD is cheaper, so it gets business.

AMD was ahead of intel for awhile in benchmark performance for gaming.
With core 2 duo intel has apparently taken the lead back.
Both companies offer very good chips. I think it's really a matter of user preference.
Processor development is at an interesting stage now because more and more the chip companies are relying on architecture tricks to outdo one another. It's no longer a case of just packing more transistors into a chip. Things like parallel processing and faster memory access are becoming more important.

currently intel is better with the new core 2 exteme. AMD is trying to beat intel with new things like the socket "AM3" and "4x4"
