This lady around my way named Donita said about a week and a half ago that she was going to give me 2 guinea pigs for free!!! There sex was females!! So she told me come and get them in 3 weeks from now! In that time she wants me to get a big cage, books, toys, etc. I just got alot of money and i wanted to .buythem a cage but my mother said wait a week before and call first! The reason why she told me that is becaues if i buy the cage now i might not get the guinea pigs. Becaues she might give them to somebody else how wants to buy them. But right now they are too younge and should 'nt be tooken away from there mother right now!! But that day i asked her were they for free or do i have to buy them and she said no they are for free.Becaues i would have bought them.I want them so much but i am not sure if i will get them what do you think and could you give me some websites Thankyou.

OK, I have my own Guinea pig and one is enough really the are a lot of work and the squeal a lot that's where the name came from "PIG" any way I definitely think you should get one let me explain:
1)more poop (very nasty I have one and I have to clean it once every 2 weeks before It gets unbearable) with two guinea pigs you won't be able to go with out 1/2 of a week with out having to clean It up
2)I was lucky I have a guinea pig that does not run away and does not try try to hide from me and she is vary tame at the age of only 3 months (but now she is 2 years old)
3)commitment guinea pigs live pretty long 5-6 years sometimes even more! and with only one It takes a lot less time and effort to keep them happy and healthy
4)dont get too much of a good thing, two may seem nice fun and suff but I must say that after a while the spark goes down and then you will just think to yourself I don't know if I want them anymore wich is really sad

ok on to the cage If you still think that you should get two then you will have to buy a BIG cage wich will cost you quite a bit of money, we are lookin at somewhere in the hundres mabe If your lucky $125 or something like that but IF you only get one then the cage wil cost around $55-75 depending on the cage.

LaTria M: Don't panic. Go around to the lady and ask her how the two Guinea Pigs are doing. Tell her you have not bought the cage or food in case there might be a problem. Tell her that your mom agrees to you having them. Ask her if there is a problem and would she give you a weeks notice before you can have them as you will then have to buy the cage. Everything should be then cleared up. In the meantime, buy the book on keeping Guinea pigs so that you will know what to do and how to feed them when you get them. No problem, I know you are so excited but everything will work out well in the end. I guarantee you.....

okay, dude, how did you even mistype that, I mean U and A aren't even near each other?
Seems to me like you should concentrate on more important things instead of losing your wig over a couple of rats - I mean - guinea pigs.

They're cool little critters. Somthing more if interest for you, if you've not seen them, chinchillas. So what if she gets rid of them before, you can go to a pet store, and buy some more. They're not that expensive. 20 dollars and under.

listen to your mother and if the lady backs down on her deal then check the pet section of the news paper or go to a pet store to find some more

Buy the cage and don't open it and save the receipt and if you don't get them than you can take the cage back.
