before Guns n' roses he was in a band called Kill for Thrills.

I am not sure who all the other members were, but the bassist (?) was Todd Muscat - brother of Brent Muscat of Faster Pussycat, who now plays in the band Junkyard.

Gilby also has a fun side band that he jams with in Vegas called Sin City All-Stars - Brent Muscat, John Corabi, Jizzy Pearl, Robbie Crane, and others are all members.
