yes it is .. i hear it all the time.. i dont understand it myself... you would think its the same no matter who says it...

That's the way it goes, but I think anyone, white or black, who calls anyone else a ni**a is ignorant. Some may say that ist is ok for black people to call each other that in a friendly manner, but I say that that word still carries too much pain for even the older generations of African Americans to be used, even in a light manner.

Yes and no... the people who defend this tactic (a black speaking to another black and using the term) say that because the spelling (ending-wise) changed from an " -er" to an "-a" it is no longer a racial slur. I don't quite understand it either.
