Legally speaking on your very last day of work your company must have your very last pay cheque waiting for you no later than 3 days when you've ceased employment. the perfect pay cheque should be waiting for you once you are available in for your go out interview and no matter if it truly is not waiting then Federal statutes come into action which state that for each day previous the agreed upon go out interview or resignation economic repayment should be utilized. only contact the human factors branch of the agency you labored for. element out that as of July seventh you nevertheless have not received your very last pay slip from the agency. you've been instructed that the cheque has already been despatched yet you've yet to acquire it, hence you'll like the previous un-used cheque cancelled and a sparkling one despatched for your position deal with with signature confirmation earlier you're compelled to deliver this count number to state and federal agencies. Writing a hard check can take some time. I used to do A/P, and even if the check ran through me instead of Payroll if there was not a check signer in the building there was nothing I could do about it. Check signers are notorious for not being around on Friday.....

Get details from your bank, written proof that an attempt was made. Usually the waiting time (or turnaround) is 48-72 hours, after that ask your boss, if nothing is done or no hard timeline is given, start documenting everything, but give the guy some time, if he double pays you, it's his fault and it'll be easier for you to extract money from him, as opposed to him extracting it from you

Where are the paychecks processed from? The company I work for issues the checks from a different state so when that happens you do have to wait.

Yeah, theres a law against that. I don't know the name of it, but they have to give you your money. If it's past due, then I would call your old employer and tell them that they have one day to get you your money, and if its not in your hands within 24 hours, that your going to take legal action. That should scare them to give it to you. If they dont, take legal action.
