My BF has tickets to the Pakistan/England game at Cardiff Sophia Gardens on 30 August and he's getting his knicks in a twist that it will now be cancelled because Pakistan are refusing to come out and play.

I would imagine it is only this game that might be cancelled and the rest of the tour will go ahead as normal?

I am sure the rest of the tour will go ahead, infact the administration is still trying to make them take the field in this game! But still nothing is conclusive.

Hold on a second..
26 (or 29)sky sports cameras could't detect anything, what bloody X rays detected the tempering that never occured?
This was a disaster waiting to happen due to tolerance of racialism by ICC,when Asian teams have so many problems with this Darrel dude why don't they play them in whites only?
Why do they keep imposing these biased umpires on Asian teams, pakistan team has qutie a history with this guy..
and yes its not the first time Pakistan has been accused of ball tempering ,,and it won't be the first time for england either if they are reported again(they have a history)
Reverse swing is an art and its no cheating to shine on the ball...
If you were call cheaters and theieves i am sure most of you would protest by walking off,and inzimam was actually coming out when umpires awarded the match to english team...

And secondly i don't think they would call it off..but i think they should in protest..pakistani captain has demanded the ball to be shown to media..

Pakistan and england share a healthy rivalry..this incident however is very fishy, its intresting to mention betting odds on england winning when umpire changed the ball or at some stage were 250-1(someone on the net mentioned)..
why was Andrew straus and kevin peterson on the phone..
No wonders Ian botham has said this would bring disaster for the english cricket..wait till the facts come out..

Pakistan is a friendly country..especially with good terms with england,so for that reason i think One day series would continue..

however tomorrow situation would be clear (the way ICC acts)

The row is not between England and Pakistan, it's between Pakistan and these two umpires. There's no reason for this to affect anything else.

The ODIs will take place - but you can bet your bottom dollar that Mr Hair won't be standing in them, or any other Pakistan match, ever again (and probably nor will Mr Doctrove).

Pakistan should of carried on they were winning after all

It's not the first time Pakistan have been accused of ball tampering against England.

I'm sure the next match will go ahead, but Pakistan should abide by the umpires decision everyone else has to.

It is only a game

NO. The game has started.
if Pakistan refuses to play then england would be rewarded the game, it would not be cancelled.

I think the one day series between Pakistan and England will not be called off, but will be played.

I hope not!

Chances are that they will sort this matter out in the next 24 hours....and Test cricket and ODI cricket are separate things...you stop worrying and watch the drama going on....
