To trust something means that in the past it has helped you or could be relied on.
If you instincts has aided you in the past, and has not lead you wrong, then go with your instincts.
But like a good car that has never caused you problems in the past, sometimes it have flat tires, and needs regular maintence in order to keep working properly.

Intuitively speaking, I believe that in every situation the right action will be self-evident. You were born with instincts (not a blank slate). You have been given the gift of knowledge - use it - you know the difference between right and wrong. If it feels "dodgy," don't go there.

The time period "instinct" in psychology became first used in 1870s through Wilhelm Wundt. through the close of the 19th century, maximum repeated habit became seen instinctual. So instincts are literally to not be continuously depended on... yet you've learnt to act in that trend because you or your ancestors have benefitted from the reaction your instincts is telling you... yet that doesnt mean that is continuously precise or continuously incorrect.... It basically skill in case you dont want to study the project... possibilities of your instinct being is ideal is way more desirable than going adversarial to it...

ever heard of the saying i've got a gut feeling? trust that feeling, there is more nerve endings in your gut than in your brain!! you truly are what you eat. teh nerve endings in your gut interchange with the nerve endings in your brain. you really have two brains so to speak and your gut can be more powerful than your original brain. also when people say sleep on it, do you notice when you wake up the next day your problems gets resolved a little easier than the day before? that is because when you sleep, sub consciously, your mind chooses the best thing all you have to do is remember the choice the next day. go with your gut feeling and sleep on it.

i think you should always listen to your instincts, they are usually right. they are telling you that what you are doing could be dangerous or could get you into trouble. you have to judge what you are doing by yourself and your instincts will do the rest.
