Ms PM, I disagree (at least in part) Muslims and Christians are not so much alike (at least not in the modern sense) as you proclaim. To begin with Christians are anti-suicide, obviously Muslims are not (suicide bombers). Jesus is viewed as a prophet vs Messiah by Muslims (big difference). We will not get along because Muslims hate Jews, the US and themselves (faction fighting throughout Mid-East). The West is so far evolved beyond the stone-age cretins of Islam that we simply cannot get along. Prehaps, in a 100 years, when they lay their primitive ways aside they can be assimilate into modern society, until then we need to cage them like the animals they are and drug them to pacifism.

Your generalization of Muslims is rather unnerving. Not all Muslims are angry with Christians or America or anything to do with Bush; Islam also says a Muslim must kindly respect a non-Muslim's religion. Muslims and Christians do have a lot in common, and your question makes it look like Muslims are completely ignorant of this fact. Muslims and Christians can totally live in peace, and so do many in both religions agree. It's only -some- from both religions who are blinded enough to be angry for no apparent reason.

Muslims are distrustful of Christians. They see Christians as evil Crusaders responsible for all their problems and all the problems in the world. Then they see themselves as the models of moral values.
To many Muslims they cannot compromise their faith with Christians. They have to have the government, the laws, etc. all based upon Islam. Christians are supposed to submit to Islamic authority, pay an infidel tax, and follow Islamic law. Christians are supposed to be converted to become Muslims, but any Muslim who converts is to be killed.
Don't blame the tension between Christians and Muslims on Bush. When Bush is out of office the tension will only increase. What we are seeing is the product of globalization. We are just beginning to understand each other. And we are finding that we don't have as much in common as we assumed.

Muslims do not believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God. Christians do.
That's a pretty big divide between the two faiths. It's ok to focus on similarities, but you can't just paper over significant differences by ignorning them or calling them insignificant.
Plus, it gets on my nerves to be called an infidel all the time. I'm sure it's just the hardline nutcases doing it, just like it's only the nutcases that say all Moslems are terrorists. Still, it's annoying.

Jesus is god not a prophet so dont say that were alike. God in the bible tells us to love thy neighbor, god in the quran tells people to kill others who dont share the same viewpoints as them(intolerance) . John 1:1 in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and word was god, the word is jesus btw. You would never see christians blowing themselves up in the name of jesus. God is jesus , yaweh, jehova but never will i call god allah.

The fights between family are always worse that fights between totally different people. We can't seem to let go of wrongdoing by our brother/sister as we can from a total stranger. The American Civil war was not very civil if you recall.

You are either *very* misinformed or the propaganda minister of CAIR. None of that is true... Christians (and Jews and the rest of the world) are infidels. Muslims and Christians have nothing in common. If you wish to live in peace and get along, stop trying to enforce your religion on the world.
