This is usually normal. The baby is getting bigger and bigger and she is running out of room to move.

I am 36 weeks also, and had the same concern last night....I was told to eat something sweet, or dring a galss of orange juice, and lay on your left side..The reason we do not feel our babies move as often anymore is because they are running out of room..It has gotten to the point with me that she seems to move in big waves..
From one side of my belly to the other..Don't worry, your should be okay too...Do you feel your baby get the hiccups/Does your belly do the great earthquake? Drink something or eat something sweet and lie down on your left side, if you do not feel 10 movements in 2 hours, then get worried and call your OB/GYN..
Best of luck to you, and if you have any questions, you can e-mail me, or send me a message thru here..As i said, I too am 36 weeks, and have been thru hell this pregnancy, pre-term labor, you name it..
Many Blessings!
Sheila

If the baby has dropped, you may not be as aware of her movements. You may want to do a kick count a couple of times a day where you consciously keep track of movements for a set period of time. If you are concerned, always call your doctors office and ask.

I was going through the same thing as you, I talked to the dr. and he said that as long as the baby moves 5 times with in an hour of drinking something cold and laying on your side.than he is fine, he says the baby needs his sleep to grow. And that the baby is only human too that we cant expect them to move when we want them to and that the baby prolly moves mostly when you are sleeping. My baby wasnt moving very much at that stage but after I got to 38 weeks he started movin like crazy again its wierd. Good Luck :)

Probably just because she is getting bigger and doesn't have as much room to move around. If you doctor was concered, they would have you take a Non Stress Test which records the babies heart rate and movement.

as you are 36 weeks pregnant the same as me the baby movements will become less ferquent but you should be able to get ten movements a day if not you should inform your midwife or midwife on call as instructed through out your pregnancy

As you get to the end of your pregnancy there is not much room for your baby to move, so yeah it is normal for baby's movement to slow down.
But if you are worried or don't feel baby move at all phone your midwife straight away.

She's getting to big to make movements like she did before. There's no room for her to turn around anymore. I also think that before they are born, they tend to remain calm. My son stopped moving around 37 weeks, but he weighed over 10 lbs.

she also could have dropped down where you are nearing the end which will give her less room to move which means she is down in the pelvic region but the rule is no movement in 24 hours call you doctor. good luck!!!

If she still moves she should be fine....she's just running out of room. With one of my pregnancies, the baby slept all day and moved all night...she could be moving then and you just don't notice it. If she completely stops moving, that's when you need to worry.
