The pGEX vector system allows you to make fusion proteins with the glutathione-S-transferase moiety and express the fusion in bacteria. These fusions can be purified on glutathione agarose and used for refolding studies or, after re-folding, for studies to pull-down proteins that interact with the protein that has been fused to GST.
