If you didnt know the story the directors cut wouldnt make enough sense. I hate the thought that I agree with the studio. The voice-over version adds atmosphere.

your question should be when watching Blade runner on DVD do you prefer to watch and listen to the film or listen to Harrison narrate.
personally if I'm watching a film i like to hear the story line,although i do watch films listening to the actors of directors especially when I'm stuck on the story line and want to see if they explain it.
