i think most people lack the will to listen and understand other peoples views, everybodies to stuborn to do that. I as once heard "well guess it human natural, the way people out take each, but then we face the danger of only listening to ourselfs".
Also another thing which i think people lack is and understanding that things are relative, they are to quick to label people good or bad. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

To me it is self awareness / actualisation. If people had the dignity, compassion & ability to look in the mirror to say this is who I am, I am proud & accepted to my creator. NOT MY LEADERS!!! Of course with the added self awareness they can change to whoever they wish to be because that is what is breed from Deomcratic & Capitalistic ideals that at this present time in human evolution is the leading model of social interaction. (Regardless if you want to hug a tree & read the Gaurdain which of course you can in these ideals.) There would be no call 4 rasicm, no political correctness & the world would be freer from oppressive authority using the tools of a police service to gather the world they so wish desire. Also Chavs would realise why people think they are scum & make the changes of buying tesco branded cleaning materials, throw away all the junk they keep, not get knocked up so easily 4 a council house & we could all take a deep sigh & say 'thank you' for giving my mobile phone back 'kind sir' as £30 ain't really going to buy you that much really???

I used to think it was openmindedness and tolerance and acceptance of others - those w/ different ideas, ideals, principles. But, after being a member of this Yahoo! Answers forum, it's got to be that most people lack education, and the ability to spell, construct sentences w/ correct grammar, and write two consecutive sentences w/o profanity or rudeness.

My opinion is, that especially on Yahoo Answers.
The thing that most people lack is spelling skills, and patients. They're so in a hurry to get their answers in, that they don't even bother to use the spell check provided for them.

Commitment. Some people lack, confidence or even a conscience. Also morals and an awareness or akcnowledgement of right from wrong, or even of the freedom of choice. They just do what the family wants, never what they want, never what they should do.

most people lack common sense, all da things wrong with this country ll the wrong doings going on in the world is due to not thinkin' if people would just think long and hard bout what they gonna do, and think of the consequences of their actions, then maybe they wouldnt do it.

I can't speak for everyone, but the thing I most lack at the moment is a vacuum cleaner that sucks and doesn't fire muck all over my house. I am sure that doesn't apply to everyone in the world though.
(And yes....I realise that there are people living in poverty without clean water and sanitation and have more to worry about than a hoover gone loopy, yes yes....blah blah blah!)

I find that most people I come into contact with lack the most basic of manners. People today are so rude and self-centered, and their parents haven't taken the time to teach them. In fact parents are teaching their children by example how to be rude and obnoxious. I see it all the time where I teach.
Peace.

Well kind sir... Judging from this forum I'd say intelligence and/or literacy.
Right now I'm lacking a beer but that will change soon.
