What makes you think the US wants to go to war with anyone?

I would say Iran. There will be sanctions soon, according to Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns. Meanwhile, Iran has designed and tested new weapons which would be helpful in a war over the past year, too. They appear to expect a chance to defeat the US. like the Hezbollah / Israel situation. One expert on ABC's This Week thought there would be a war in 12-18 months. His opinion was if that happened, Hezbollah would have made a big mistake, by strengthening world opinion against Iran. Other people thought an attack would be exactly what Iran wanted. So who's crazy among this bunch of commentators? (The Roundtable)

Well it has to be Iran. North Korea is more than we can handle right now and Iran has been begging to get their butt kicked. The choice is really to fight them now or later. Sure as the sun comes up we will be at it with them before the next election for president in the US. Not even a democratic victory in the fall will prevent it. Bush will react to an Iranian attack on some US ship or position. Israel may draw us into it with Syria too because the rest of the world will not stand up for what is right.

Iran i believe
keeping in mind the trend the US is following , gradaully covering the area and moving towards china ... making sure in the future china and russia are kept at bay by being based in each and every region. Also making sure that the muslims never ever become a threat in the future.

Iran. It's geopolitically the most viable option, although it must be said, they will hand you your **** in a handbasket, nice and roasted like. They have oil, they have a government that hates you, they're making ugly faces at Israel, the Project for a New American Century suggests they're next, and so on and so forth...

At this point, I am saying North Korea unless they back down on the nukes. Otherwise, some other Muslim country that seems to have more than its share of terrorists.
