I have read a few things on the internet saying that maybe Dumbledore didn't really die. That he faked his death. Most people under the killing curse don't die the way he did. They just kind of fall. Dumbledore didn't. And Sirius, will he come back? Or will he somehow communicate with Harry from the dead? I think at least one of them will make an appearance in the last book. Your thoughts?

JK Rowling has dismissed many rumors that have been going around and I don't think she herslf knows yet. She is still writing the book, as far as I know, and she may still be deciding if Voldemort or Harry dies.

Dumbledore is a huge part in Harry's success and as someone said before, his portrait will be of great use to him. But Dumbledore was a strong wizard and knew more than anyone could imagine so he may have something up his sleeve. Unfortunatly, he died by the Killing Curse, and that is a certain death. Even though Harry survived it, Harry never appeared dead, so Dumbledore may very well not have survived it. Too bad he died at the hands of Snape.

Maybe Dumbledore had his own Horcruxes, but that was proven to be pure evil and that could be up in the air.

Nope I think both characters are dead in my opinion. Sirsus Black cross over the veil he will not be coming back if you read the ending of book 5 again when Harry has that conversation with the House of Gryffindor ghost. Harry is informed by the ghost that Sirsus Black is truly dead. As for Dumbledore I doubt he will come back. He died to get Harry moving on with his quest to find out more about his family and get Harry to find the rest of the Horocruxes and to develop the skills he will need to become a better wizard if he is to destroy Voldermort.

They are both definitely dead, they aren't coming back. She has made it very clear that Dumbledore is gone. Sirius is gone as well but she did say that the mirror they had to communicate will come into play but I think it will be used between Harry and someone else.

Dumbledore will come back but then he'll get cashiered for good. We'll then need a Dumbledore replacement and I think that'll be Snape. Sirius Black is gone for good. Ron will probably also go, as will several more of Harry's friends.

Rumors are nothing but rumors. J.K. Rowling has been pretty clear on the subject and they won't be coming back. Though I confess it was kinda stupid that they died like that. The only appearance Dumbledore will make will be through his portrait in the headmaster's office.

My thoughts are that I hope you are right, on at least one of these points. It would be great if either or both of them came back to help Harry defeat Voldemort. Here's to book 7, and Viva Harry!!!!!!!!

as much as i loved those characters, im pretty sure they are dead now. I dont know about communicating from the dead, i dont think they will, just because JK Rowling kept saying that we lost those characters, so I dont think they will come back.
