I think it is not as devious as the scholars make it seem to be but still a good book that tells yyou to do anything it takes to get what you want.

It has a reputation for being some kind of diabolical work--a Lex Luthor handbook, if you will--that I don't think is deserves at all. Machiavelli was a very smart guy who just articulated the political realities of his time (or any time, actually) with candor. He didn't dream up the qualities/actions he describes in The Prince, merely observed what works and what doesn't and why.

Nice book, practical, real, If you see southwards to Cuba you can see a "real life, present time" application of that book
